Help Us “Pour the Floor” – Build the Heart of Consejo!
Consejo Shores Community Group is a registered not-for-profit organization, and we are excited to share the progress of a dream years in the making: the creation of a much-needed community centre for the beautiful Consejo area in northern Belize — home to approximately 350 residents.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we’ve already restored the walls of an old, cherished structure and are currently putting on a brand-new roof. Now, we need your help to complete the next critical step: Pouring the Floor.
This community centre will be so much more than just a building — it will be the heart of Consejo. A place where neighbors gather for Christmas parties and church services, where children will attend educational programs and receive school support, and where residents can take part in health workshops, language classes, art events, and fundraisers that strengthen our vibrant community.
We’re calling on our friends near and far to help us bring this final phase to life. Your donation will lay the foundation — literally — for generations of connection, growth, and opportunity in Consejo.
Together, let’s “Pour the Floor” and build something lasting for everyone in our community.
Donate today — every dollar brings us one step closer!

May 2025 our metal was ordered for the roof.
April 2025 all concrete was parged, primed and ready for paint.
March 2025 saw huge improvements in the structure when it was pressure washed, removed the scaling and moldy concrete, restored the lintels, rebuilt the corners and other structural elements.
The balance of 2024 we held Moonlight dinners, beanbag baseball games, sold sponsorships for plaques, ordered Tshirts for sale, Fathers day brunch, Mothers Day dinner, Thanksgiving dinner, Consejo Derby and a Christmas dinner.
On Februray 2024 CSCG was incorporated as a not for profit. Our first fundraiser, the Snowbirds Feista, raised the initial seed money for completing the old "round house building " in the shores. At that time we figured it was a 4 year project to complete the building.

Our first project was a huge undertaking. Save our Library. Remove all of the shelving and books from the old library to install into the new. Phase one, pack the thousands of books. Phase two, remove all of the shelving. Phase three, wash all of the shelving. While we were doing all of this CSL restored the old building, repainted it and cleaned around the outside. Phase four took awhile. Reinstall all of the shelving and fundraise for new shelving. We installed castors on some of the old units and built four new ones. Phase five was the longest, put all of the books back in order. New signage and ready to go. Phase six was beautifying the outside to match the new office.
